Hi Jason,
You make some very good points and raise some very good questions. I
wish I had the answers for you. I really am only familiar with US
insurance practices/costs as well as US pharmaceutical practices/cost.
And I only know that both are way out of control, and yes, many
citizens are obtaining their Rx's from Canada, and taking whatever
risks may be involved, simply because money and health wise, they have
no choice. That, in my mind, is a very sad commentary on health care
in the US today.
But to answer your questions directly, about the practices overseas, I
cannot answer and I'm sure there are members within this group who
have perhaps encountered a need for health care while abroad, and
could answer you better than myself.
