Regarding Blue Cross/Blue Shield, many of you may not know this, but here in
Texas approx. 80% of doctors will not be accepting BCBS any more. I feel
that this trend will spread as Blue Cross/Blue Shield raises rates while
decreasing benefits. Our company recently dropped BCBS because of this.

Thanx for the input, and some good info for sure. I'll go out on
a limb here and say that I suspect you worked for Blue Cross/Blue
Shield at one time? Perhaps thats why you think their insurance cards
are like gold in the medical profession? I've never known that to be
true, but really off the point anyway.
And I don't think any insurance carriers today are worth squat,
