Curiosity being what it is I did some pointing and clicking to see
what is out there concerning insurance for travelers/cruisers. I
thought that the expense would keep one tied up to the dock. While it
looks like the money would take a bite out of the cruising kitty
(well, mine anyway) I was surprised when one agency (a management
agency for international insurance agencies) quoted the price of 105$
monthly for 50,000$ coverage. 150$ for 1,000,000$ coverage. Includes
medevac and many other items in the policy. I have to plead ignorance
when it comes to reading and understanding insurance policies. When
one is out there "doing it" the overall cost seems small. I won't
mention the company that I looked up here on this post. I'm not sure
if it would be proper. I found it through a link with the SSCA. If
anyone is interested in the name of the company you can contact me at
my yahoo address and I will send it out to you. Maybe someone can
read between the lines (ie- the fine print) and see if it is all it
seems to be.
Happy Thanksgiving....
