another
another stormy passage
on the ocean of illusions,
hoping for a better sail tomorrow.
but another squall approaches,
the clouds foretell confusion,
and i´m too damn tired to think about my sorrow.
with the smell of bitter coffee
i will fight another hour,
fight with bloody hands and bleary eyes,
but you´ll never drown this sailor,
no, you havent got the power,
so watch as over waves my vessel flies.
to think i once believed your waters
calm, deep and clear,
i thought your arms could shield me from the wind.
i thought i´d found a paradise,
a place i neednt fear,
a place where pain would end and dreams begin.
you´re just another dirty harbor
with a foul and rocky bottom,
too shallow for the draft with which i sail,
and the pattern of your currents
i know i´ll never fathom,
nor your shifting winds that never will prevail.
another silver sunrise
bleeding warmth on the horizon,
the wind has calmed and waves are not so wild.
dare i set my course for that far lone lovely somewhere,
a place where pain and hate have not defiled?

yes, i´m sailing for tomorrow,
a ship of fools without a care,
sailing high and fast and strong and free.
