    I, too, was recently diagnosed with the onset of cataracts. My doctor told
    me it would be sometime before surgery would be required and that, after
    surgery, I'd do fine. He did emphasize that good UV sunglass are a must for
    those of us choosing life on the water, even when there is no sun. He
    sighted a study done in Boston of fishermen and others working indoors. The
    finding was that those exposed to the UV on the water had cataracts more
    often.
