    Rick,

    Have her go back and ask. My wife had cataracts removed from both eyes and
    the only problem that she has had was light sensitivity. This is something
    that is very rare.

    Depending upon how fast the cataracts progress, you may have several years
    before something needs to be done. In the mean time, realize that she will
    slowly be losing color - which will return after they are removed - and it
    will make it harder to see at night or other low light situations - at least
    until they are removed.

    In the mean time, talk with the doctor.
