    I've spent quite a while deleting all subscribers who have sent
    porn/spam/etc top the list over the past few years. I've changed the
    list settings, all new members must be approved by a moderator
    before they can post to the list. Existing members can post freely
    (hence deletion of any identified spammers already in the list).

    Most of the spam came through because another moderator who shall
    not be named changed the settings to allow any new member to
    immediately post to the list. That left the door open for hit and
    run spammers to run over all of us.

    There may be more spammers lurking. I'll try to eliminate them right
    away. Other moderator asisstance requested.
