I built my own trimaran. I like multi's even though for work I
    sometimes sail mono's. Sailed cat's from a Hobie 16 (co-owned) to a
Lock Crother 50 (captain) and various Wharram's. Alot of cat's in the
30ft range-- too small for any comfort compared to the same size tri.
My dream boat is a Chris White 55. The (Chris White) Atlantic 42 is a
good boat for blue water. Sailed a Lagoon 55 for a daysail. Not all
that impressed. Too fancy. Don't spill the beer!! Privilege I've been
on board but not sailed. My taste tends to be realistic. I'm not one
for a boat where I have to keep polishing stuff. Or bump a piling.
And where do you clean the fish?

have met several sailors who single hand these boats. Two things
that they mention: without healing the ride is more relaxed and rest
time more productive, second these boats should always be sailed by
the numbers (cut sail early) since they do not act well when
    overpowered.

able to find a used one in our budget! (crossing our fingers). Of
course, all of this would be subject to change!
