What do you think of Lagoon? I hate to bring up another builder, but having the opinion of someone more experienced than myself would be very much appreciated.

<I'm interested in how a cat might handle long cruises, and how easy they would be to short hand.>
Like any yacht they can be easy to short hand depending on the rig setup.
I used to singlehand mine a lot as i had days off during the week.
I have done a lot of coastal cruising but my boat is a bit short on deadweight. (Load carrying) for offshore.
A cat for long voyages needs adequate deadwight capacity for cruising loads without affecting performance.
This means 36 ft plus for a couple unless you are minimalists.
There are now many Multis ocean cruising. Many pacific cruisers winter here and the multi owners are happy with their choice.
