Ooops - Nice catch John. I forgot the log.
We have a lovely Walker taffrail log that we stream whenever we are off
soundings.
And we have an equally lovely Tamiya sextant (which was mine when I was a
boy on my father's boat) and, although I don't use it often enough, I do
still know how to reduce a sight. A noon shot of course being dead easy -
it usually takes me a bit of scratching around before I can remember how to
use HO249.
Thanks for reminding me of those items. I wonder what else I take for
granted?
