Hi all, I just subscribed to the forum.

I live in Argentina, just retiring from consulting and moving into a less
demanding occupation, that I hope will give me much more free time. I don't
have long term cruising experience, I just rented sail cats for two or three
weeks in many places (Turkey, Thailand, the Med, the Caribbean, Australia,
    etc.)

My plans are to start taking two or three months cruises during December to
February each year, when the kids are off-school down here. We love snorkel
in warm waters, and unluckily those months are winter in the North
    Hemisphere (Caribbean, Med, etc.).

So we are trying to identify which places in the world have the following
    characteristics during December to February:

    1) Very warm waters
    2) Reasonable to good weather (no constant rain or hurricane or too windy
    season)
    3) Enjoyable anchorages without long voyages between each island (no more
than a couple of days at sea)
    4) Safe place (no piracy or war)

The place I am considering at this time is the South Pacific, specially the
    Society Islands in French Polynesia.

Does anybody have information that can help me in planning the voyages,
about the Polynesia or any other place in the world with the desired
    characteristics?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jorge Crudele
