My saiboat, has a Volvo Diesel 32HP with a saildrive, the engine compartment
has a watertight bulkhead just to prevent any accidents that could happen.
I've been using my boat for the past 4 years with no problem. The advantage
of the saildrive is its instalation which is quite simple.
