No, they had an expert identify by the bite marks etc. this time, media was
innocent. This is a coast with occasional upwelling of cold water and the
belief is that the shark followed the water and found a food source in the
sea lions and seals that are very prevalent here. Usually they hang out a
little farther north off certain islands. In fact, there was a sea lion
attack today in the same general area as the swimmer incident. The shark is
just being a shark.
