    Steve,

    I hadn't thought about burning trash while aboard. I think it is a
    good idea as long as proper precautions are taken. I would suggest
    adding some sort of a metal grid with quite small holes as a cover so
    that dead ashes and burning embers don't escape. A flaming sail or
    worse could ruin your whole cruise and ashes all over the boat
    wouldn't make for a great experience either. The BBQ idea might work
    too if the lid would fit and keep it all inside. Cleaning it might be
    a problem though. Those flying dead ashes again.
