    Parts of Washington are still relatively inexpensive. The prices I see
    for water front land in BC are way lower than on our side of the border.
    I consider the weather pretty warm, but I have lived the last 30 years
    in Alaska with 20 of them in Nome. Canadian prices for all things are
    lower, I suspect that their taxes are higher. There are a couple of very
    good steel boat builders in BC. Weather doesn't mean much to me, lack of
    crowding and beauty out the window means a lot. Fortunately it does mean
    a lot to others which is why there is not much crowding up here.
