I started this conversation originally, since I'm about to go on a
reach out from Panama to Hawaii and back to San Francisco. 2-3 weeks
each way, from what I've gathered.
I mainly was wondering if disposing of paper overboard was a terribly
thing. I figured it would sink quickly and dissolve (or be eaten). I
hadn't thought about throwing tin cans overboard, but this also seems
relatively safe in the deep ocean, as it's too deep for anything but
the sturdiest submarines, and the cans won't last very long (less than
a few years) before also corroding down to nothing.
Is my logic flawed?
