Jim,
Thanks for the info. One of the places I have been thinking about is
the West coast of Fla. I understand the water is thinner there and
there is a lot more lightening too.
Don't think we will have to worry much about stock earnings any more.
The 401k's took a real bath not so very long ago too. We'll have my
military retirement, 401k's, and social security to retire on. That
and anything we can save in the entire process or that we get lucky
on in the meantime. That's why we want the next house and boat
mortgage free. We want to _know_ we won't have a problem financially
as we get older.
Yes California is having its problems right now. After the dot com
bust, then the contrived energy "crisis," there are problems. And, we
have a lot of people that can only see what was and what is without
taking into consideration what came in between trying to stir up more
trouble and cost us more money in an effort to "save" us. Don't know
what is coming. My crystal ball is a little foggy there. From our
point of view, hope the real estate prices here stay up and climb and
the prices wherever we go stay low and get lower; until we buy that
is. :-)
What kind of boat did you get?
