I'm curious as to other's opinions too...
The SSCA 'clean wake' policy means bagging everything and dumping
it through 'proper' channels when the time comes, except how can you trust
governments, especially small, poor ones, to do the right thing with it?
Personally I think paper and properly treated (compressed or cut open) cans
will not cause harm at a reasonable depth. Cans can be recycled however, so
we always bring them back to shore.
Plastics can be recycled and should always be bought back to shore.
Glass bottles should be recycled and not dumped of course, but are rare on
cruising boats anyway.
