Second hand experience only, but a professional delivery captain with whom I
worked several years ago said the only time he truly feared for his life was
on a Mac 65. He watched the bow deflect sideways several degrees with each
passing wave. The boat did not have a failure, but that captain won't set
foot on one again.
Sometimes cheaper means "poorly built" not "good deal".
