Subject: [world-cruising] Introducing myself (Viki)

Hello everyone,
For some time I've been meaning to look online for a cruising
discussion group. Specifically, I'm hoping to meet up with other MOMS
who sail with SMALL CHILDREN, who may have MIXED FEELINGS about
sailing sometimes but nevertheless are fully supportive of their
husband's unrelenting passion for sailing, and have agreed to work
towards a goal of getting everyone packed up and onboard and off for
at least a year of world cruising in the not-too-distant future.
We sail on a 30' Hunter out of Annapolis, MD and normally do day-
sails, some long weekends, and at least once a year go out for at
least a week's cruise. My husband's always had a dream of being a
live-aboard, world-cruising family, and I've always been leery of the
idea, but realized that it was the open-endedness of it that scared
me - committing to a single YEAR of world cruising is a lot easier to
wrap my mind around and in fact the more I've thought about it the
more excited I am at the prospect.
I'm hoping to find some insights and practical advice from you all on
how to use the next few/several years to prepare. I'm full of
questions.
First, is there another list just for sailing moms?
