First, I went with contacts. Later, with Lasik surgery. In both cases, I
only corrected one eye, as my near vision is fine without correction. So I
have what the docs call "monovision"...my corrected (right) eye sees
distance and my uncorrected (left) eye sees near.

I've been told that about 30% of the population can tolerate monovision; the
others get dizzy, get headaches, or go nuts! It's been working for me for
about 7 years.

I like off-the-shelf sunglasses, especially the ones that wrap around the
eyes.

You're not the Bob Young I used to work with are you?
