you are ab so lute ly right, lew. the boat you have is the only boat in the
entire universe worth owning. Why we didn't realize that early on is beyond
mere mortals to fathom.

But do consider, lew, that the guy was asking the relative merits of a steel
boat vs a glass boat. and you get po'd to hear the interior pan of your
production glass boat means you're gonna sink if you get a 1/2" hole in the
hull. sorry dude that you are so easily bothered.

To the original poster: buy the boat you like for the money you have to
spend and don't worry about the sea dragons some other people are so
frightened by. You go to sea, they stay tied to the dock scared witless,
buying ever more "safety gear" from West Marine. Shackleton took a wooden
boat, Montessier took a steel boat, Hiscock took an aluminum boat (at one
point), Knox-Johnson took a glass boat. And Mike Plant died in a glass boat
when the keel fell off.
