I've been reading occasionally about marinas getting built down in the
"Mayan Riviera". The barrier reef at Xcalak isn't too far from shore, so
maybe the whole area is a good anchorage. San Pedro, on Ambergris Caye
in Belize has a full-on harbor on the lee side of the island.
