My wife and I are at the stage where we just bought our boat this
month and are now getting her (Synergy) ready to go. It's great that
you've thought to seek a good forum to ask questions early on. In
addition to the commercial publications that others will suggest, I
highly recommend that you peruse some of the hundreds of personal web
sites dedicated to this subject. It'll give you a more human
perspective from someone who doesn't get paid to provide the advice.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disparaging any of the magazines to which
I subscribe, too.
One of my favorite personal sites was created by Bill Dietrich, a
contributor to this group. You'll find enough material there to keep
you busy until the day you leave the dock. Best of all, it's a great
compilation of numerous sources, so it'll save you hours of
searching, and filtering, the internet. His web site link can be
found in the Links section of this newsgroup.
Best of luck. The road ahead will be filled with doubt, excitement
and angst. Do your best to maintain clarity and focus on your dream.
