It sounded WONDERFUL, until today, when I thought "Am I going to be happy in a small cabin of a boat for DAYS or WEEKS on end, with no contact with the outside world??" My husband and I decided to see if we could handle staying inside our home for a week, without going out at all, as a kind of a test.

That's not the way it is. I see more people when we are cruising than
I do when I am at home. Here, I can go for a week and only see my
husband, the lady at the post office and about every other week my
mother. Some folks cruise in company - three or four boats together.
They get together for pot lucks. You talk to people on the radio. I
listen to other people talking on the radio.

One difference between living on land and living on a boat is that
everything takes longer. Your time is filled up with doing things.
Doing the laundry can take all day.

I do agree with JAXAshby - we have a fairly large boat and one of the
reasons we got a bigger one was so we could be separated. (It was his
idea).
