Go to all the boat shows you can. Bring a big bag for catalogs, folders.
Look at their program schedules and see if there are seminars of interest.

Meanwhile, go the US Power Squadron homepage, www.usps.org, which includes
boating education and related links.

Then, go to http://www.usps.org/localusps/lvps/ and see if you can't get
involved with the Las Vegas Power Squadron.

Just some additional suggestions.

Go to a good magazine store and look at the boating magazines, and
subscribe to some, like Cruising World, Sail, and others. Many of them also
have Web sites.
