Thanks for your repsonse. Your setup sounds like it would be good
for my needs. I have a few questions about your setup. Do you use
insulators at the ends of the SS insulated wire (or just the dacron
rope) and about what size is the wire? Do you know if the insulation
affects the effectiveness of the antenna? Why did you use SS wire
rather than copper? Was it for strength? What kind of connection do
you use to connect the wire to the tuner? I assume you use this
setup while underway, not just in port, right? And finally, what's a
GRP boat? Thanks for you patience. I'm new to the world of SSB
communications.
