Quite right! Not that I want to spend all day talking about guns on boats, but I do think there should be a forum to discuss whatever issues are on peoples minds, so I was going to set up a new list called world-cruising-guns :) ,..... but I guess you're right. This list is unmoderated and already has some subscribers, so why bother.
Now...... about my question of last week, does anybody have any experience dealing with foreign officials who come across one's line launcher (the shotgun variety - not the gas powered kind)? In some countries (most???) I think line-launchers may be specifically exempt from firearms regulations. One person on rec.boats.cruising said they had never had a problem but did not really elaborate. I'm specifically interested in personal experiences in various locales.
