I suggest that anyone who wants to discuss guns goes to
rec.boats.cruising, which is an unmoderated group, and see where they
get to as far as sensible discussion goes. Or go back to the old
worldcruising list on Yahoo where the owner is away and doesn't
monitor the list at all. Of course there may not be anyone to talk to
anymore.
No matter how sensibly the discussion starts out, and even if it goes
well for 5 or even 10 posts, eventually it erupts into a forest fire
of insults and invective.
