As I said yesterday, guns are not to be discussed for the reasons
given. That is _not_ open to debate. I have been around on various
lists for several years. It is common practice on other lists as well
and for good reason. I have seen literally hundreds unsubscribe due
to this and other banned issues.
When I first encountered these "debates" I too thought they were
interesting. However, that changed rather quickly. _Many_ people were
offended and unsubscribed. This list is for information sharing and
not "spirited discussions." In setting down our list guidelines,
many things were taken into consideration. Among those was not
"reinventing the wheel" and allowing those things which have proven
destructive to other lists.
Please see the ADMIN blurb I posted this morning for more information.
The individuals that responded this morning have been warned. PLEASE
DO NOT continue this thread or subject matter on list.
Now, please continue to post on subjects that are not banned.
