I have been on this list and the previous one since it's beginning. I went
through the "ferro", "Cat Claw" "guns" wars and I must agree. You own the
list so it is yours to do with as you please, I guess. I found the
"debates" interesting. Life is like that. I for one am sorry you have
chosen to do this without first seeing what would happen if you did not. We
may find out we can disagree and still get along. Besides people who are so
narrow minded as to not be able to have a spirited discussion, probable
don't have much useful to add. So let them go if they want to..

  While I respect your right to run this list as you please, it is also a
  shame that you have made this subject off-limits. You claim you don't want
  this to discussed as people might leave? Well, I would like to know if
  anyone would tell me what countries I might run into a problem with a 12
  gauge "line launcher" onboard. (I actually have the line launcher
attached).
  If I cannot ask such questions, this list becomes less useful and I
suspect
  you will lose more subscribers precisely because of your position
