ADMIN: Re: [world-cruising] Guns While Cruising

Subject: ADMIN: Re: [world-cruising] Guns While Cruising

This subject is one of those that are going to be out of bounds as
soon as we get some new information posted to the Web site and
welcome posts. The reason is that there are many people on either
side of this question and many valid reasons for their feelings. What
this subject generally distills to is a flame war and people
unsubscribing because of it. This has been the exact result of such
discussions on other marine related lists I am and have been on.

Until we can make some changes, I ask you all to refrain from
discussing guns, politics, and religion. These topics typically are
guaranteed to create a problem for the list and see members leaving;
members that could provide genuine assistance on other topics.

In this particular instance, if anyone wishes to answer the question,
PLEASE post directly to the individual and NOT through the list.
Also, while you may have very strong opinions on the matter, even
when posting directly, I ask that you answer the question asked
directly and NOT conduct an off list flame war.
