[world-cruising] Ice Ammonia and Propane

Wow, now you really have my attention. The reason we don't have
refrigeration is the same as yours - autonomy. We don't have an engine so
we minimize power consumption.

I would very much like to learn more about your system. We had considered
buying a 110V ice cube maker and running it when power was available -
either off shore power or off our inverter. But alternative energy
sources are very much of interest.

Parallel question: We are planning a refit with Ireland as the target
cruising ground. What do you or anybody else know about the availability
of cooking fuel in those parts? We presently cook with Propane - will
that be available? Any comments / ideas welcomed.
