You are concerned about re-rigging after stepping the mast. I respectfully suggest that if you are going to undertake a voyage of the scope that you are discussing, that you need to fully understand all of your rigging and be capable of tuning it yourself. You need to be self-sufficient to deal with rigging problems at sea and along the way in general.
