Rosalie,
It is a sad commentary when pimp is a vulgarity and the four letter word for
fornicate is good.
I have to go sail with the alligators. Will get back to you later alligator.

Actually you're wrong in a couple of ways

1) This is a group of people who have been or are going to be
cruising. THe real cruisers are not here. It's too much trouble to
get the posts to stay connected if one is actively cruising - so if
you thought you were talking to cruisers, you were wrong.

2) It isn't a board, it is an email list

3) Having a quote in the sig line is not pimping as I understand that
word.

4) Using the word pimp is more offensive and family unfriendly than
using common vulgarity with some of the letters ** ed out. (It's much
easier and more likely for a child to ask - daddy what is a pimp IMHO
than it is for them to be unfamiliar with above mentioned
vulgarities.)

5) I see nothing wrong with injecting a little humor especially if
sailing related. The fact that you don't think it is funny or don't
have a sense of humor is irrelevant.

6) You are not the moderator, and the moderator has stated that he
doesn't see anything wrong with the sig line, so it is up to you to
leave if you are offended. It is not up to you to police the list.

Sailing stuff - we hauled the boat on Tuesday, and the hull was pretty
clean except for some slime even though we hadn't moved it all summer.
Also the zincs were still fresh, which answered a question I had --
two years ago when we got back in the spring the zincs were down to a
shred of a fingernail in size. We had been in several marinas, but we
didn't haul the boat right away when we got back and I wondered if
there was a lot of electrolysis in the marinas we'd been in or if it
had been contributed to here. I guess it was the other marinas.

The prop was encrusted with barnacles, although Bob put anhydrous
lanolin on it. It was still however able to feather, but it wouldn't
go higher than 2000 rpm. The guy got all of them off with a pressure
washer - didn't have to scrape them or anything. He did see one boat
which also hadn't been moved and the prop was completely clean. He
asked him what he painted the prop with, but I don't remember what it
was - I'll have to ask him again.

We are going to Elizabeth CIty and Edenton tomorrow (Sunday Nov 24)
and then to Charleston on Tuesday Nov 26 and will be there until we
come back home Sat. Anyone on the way that we could drop by?
