Subject: Re: [world-cruising] List question?

Hi Jodie,
I doubt that there is any place on the Internet that is entirely
family safe. (Of course, I could be wrong since I'm not out there
looking for them; my youngest is 29 and all are living on their own
and able to make their own decisions even if I don't agree with
them.) We do not moderate every post for language and do not have
software in place that does so. It is always up to the members to
moderate themselves as to the appropriateness of their posts. So far,
that has worked out well.
Specifically, on this list you will sometimes find a few asterisks
and other characters with a letter or two to show our feelings about
a subject. Occasionally, you will actually see the full words. That
is _not_ the norm though, and it is not encouraged.
Once in a while you might also see a bit of a flame war but that is
also not encouraged and those who participate _will_ be dealt with by
us, the list owners/moderators. They will be warned, suspended,
moderated for a period of time, or banned from the list as necessary.
So far, none of these have been necessary and we hope that will
continue without interruption.
Fair winds and happy cruising.
