[world-cruising] New poll for world-cruising

Subject: [world-cruising] New poll for world-cruising
world-cruising@XXX.XXX
Date: Wed Nov 20 2002 - 12:52:09 EST

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
world-cruising group:

This is my first attempt to set up a poll
so we'll see how it goes. If it is well
received, there will be more since I am
just full of questions. Also I am sure
that as new people join the list, perhaps
those that don't yet own a boat and are
wondering if you really do need a 7 or
more-figure bank account to cruise, it
will provide some answers to their
questions as well.

I've long been curious about what people
who are actually out there cruising are
cruising on. Hopefully,
this will tell me and the other
subscribers what is actually going on in
the real world as opposed to the boat
manufacturer's slick ads.

The first section asks about propulsion.
The second asks about propulsion fuel
used.The third asks about engine
location. The fourth asks about hull
construction materials. The fifth asks
about keel configuration. The sixth asks
about sailing rig. The seventh is about
length of vessel.

Please check off all that apply to you.

I have configured the poll so that
results are shown during polling, the
voter's identity will _not_ be shown, and
the results will go to the entire group
via email. The poll will close on
December 4th to give those who are out of
town or not connected often a chance to
participate.

Remember, this is _actually_ what you
have, _not_ what you would like to have.

If you have a problem with physically
taking the poll, please let me know and I
will try to fix it.

Thanks.
