Of course, you could always come 'down under' to God's own country, Australia.
We have a 43' ketch moored at a small marina within site of and easy
walking distance (10 minutes) to Port Adelaide shops, pubs etc.
Cost is $188 Aus (about $100US) per month and that includes electricity,
water and secure car parking, showers etc. Oh, yes, and the owner
apologised when he put the rates up 5% or so a few months ago.
There are other marinas in this city and though their costs might be higher
they wouldn't be exceed this by more than about 50%.
Of course wage rates are much lower in Australia than the US. I think the
average wage is now about $12 per hour (around $7US).
On the other hand, we do get some warmish weather as well. It's still only
spring but we've already had a couple of days over 100F. In late summer it
might go to 106F or more. But then we've never had a frost or seen snow
down here so that's the trade-off.
