Hi All,
I am thinking of doing the same thing (Purchase a Westsail 43 in the USA and
sailing it to Australia) so I phoned the customs and they e-mailed me the
attachment. It may put some light on the subject.

MacKay is a beautiful place a couple of thousand mile north of here A bit
like Florida but less crowded.

The Whitsunday are great and its not too far to get to South Pacific from
there like Fiji, Noumea etc.
a $45K boat should sell for $120K AUD. There are not many equivalent boats
here ( factory built cruisers)

Thanks for the info. I am contemplating sailing to OZ. My fiancee will fly

meet me in Mexico (Baja side), where I keep my boat and we will possibly

the cruise when the weather window is right. Boat is worth about $45k USD.
She lives in Queensland. ... near Mackay. Good sailing in the Whitsunday
Islands.
