"Australian regulations allow you to import one boat and one
trailer/caravan duty and tax free on the basis of one per family per 3
years. You must have owned and used the boat or trailer/caravan for at
least one year prior to your departure to Australia.
Special conditions apply for boats, please contact us or Australian
Customs for further information."
Looks promising.
In any event I am pretty sure that the 10% GST would be waived for a
pre-owned boat but talk to Customs for a definitive position.
