I have a separate ampair for wind and the aquair for tow.
I bought everything from Jackrabbit Marine in the US. Good service from
them.
I tried to rig the aquair on the pushpit, but it was not working so well
(different on every boat), so I bought the SS mounting bracket. You could
still take the unit off of this bracket. I'm trying to convince my
girlfriend to make a Sunbrella cover for the aquair and bracket.
I need to try the funnel idea for retrieval. I did not find that I had to
stop the boat to retrieve, but one you grab the line and start pulling it in
the prop keeps turning and knots that portion of the line that is still out.
Funnel may be a good idea.
I have the rebuild kit for each unit and I bought a spare prop for the
aquair.
