Subject: [worldcruising] Testing HF Radio

Greetings Everyone
I've just installed a new HF/SSB radio (Icom) but, so far, I haven't heard
anyone on it?
What is the best way to check that it's working correctly and what
frequency is the best to check?
I've never been an amateur operator (yet) so my radio knowledge is minuscule.
