I have an Amel Euros 41 ketch, and last weekend I figured out that the
main mast is not straight. After checking the tensions of the rig with
a tension meters I figured out, that they are different. After
adjusting and tensioning I could straighten the mast.
I have Brian Toss's book, and he wrote that to have 10%
of the breaking strength of a wire, I should tension
the wire so far that kicking the wire will make a musical tone.
So that is what I did. After reading some of your postings about
Rigging Tension, I'm not certain, if I had overtightened the rig or
not. How can I figure out? Any suggestions?
