Following is the recommended tension for my boat's rig. It was given to me by
the "official" Westsail sailmaker, Kern Ferguson, of Newport Beach, CA. The
uppers are tensioned at 18-20% of the 17,500 lb breaking strength of 3/8"
wire.

1. Uppers 3000-3500

2. Lowers (aft to be 1.5 turns more than fwd) 2000
3. Intermediates 2500-2800
4. Inner forestay achieve 1" bend
5. Backstays (2) 1300 (each)
