Subject: [worldcruising] olympic carter33

hi just joined the group,and wanted to know if any one
out there knows anything about carter33 sailboats
ipurchased one dirt cheap{the former owner moved back
to england}the hull is in good shape but it needs to
be repowerd it currently has a 35 h.p. lyland 1.5
{yuck} i am thinking of either a westerbeke,yanmar,or
universal diesel.any thoughts on these as power? ihave
been told 3 to 4hp per ton for power, a little more
for awider beam. any ideas? as 35hp sounds like alot.
