RE: [worldcruising] Fuel Additives

Haven't heard of those two. I use one of several. I usually buy something
at the local truck stop. I read on the can and get something that says it
stops bugs, waxing, and suspends water. Have had very good luck for many
years. I don't think there is much difference between brands as long as
they claim to do all three. Use what the truckers use and it will probable
work. Those guys burn up a lot more diesels than sailboats do.
Note, if you use something to suspend water then you will want to use a
filter like Racor that stops the water from getting to the engine. Keeps
your tanks free of water that way. No water in the tank means no bugs.

Hi All:

Does anyone know about "soltron" or "Pri-D". They
claim to be God's gift to diesel fuel, but I'm
skeptial. Any of you guys use this stuff??
