Subject: Re: [worldcruising] Autoprop

I'm not Carl, but I am following the thread. I would like to know:
1. Is the increased performance of your boat worth the expense of the
autoprop vs. a fixed prop?
2. Does it bother you that there is a whirling device with hinges and pins
subject to wear and failure in a place where you can't inspect it or
maintain it?
3. What is the expense of maintenance?
4. Do you have much vibration? That seems to be one of the most common
complaints.
Thanks for letting me participate.
