You can get voltage adjusters from Radio Shack or automotive stores
to reduce your 12 V DC to 6 V DC. However, before you buy one, find
out from the label or literature how much current (in watts or amps)
your receiver requires and tell that info to the store you're buying
your step-down converter from. You might have to 'bully' yourself
past the first line of sales personnel and insist to talk to a
'techie'.
