G'day,
A friend of mine in the marine business made me aware of this stuff some
years ago. It's made by a company in Brisbane, Australia. He gave me a
brochure which I still happen to have.
My understanding is that it is not a replacement for antifouling. It goes
on top of it. I also understand that it does not protect your antifouling
indefinitely, but supposedly increases its life...so it's said. I'll
reserve my opinion on it for now.
The lanolin is a solution with the consistency like water and can be easily
applied with a brush or spray. Takes no time at all. Benefits include
longer life of the antifoul, and 'sealing' minor scratches. It is kind of a
greasy film and apparently the best way to remove it is with a citrus based
product, which is also available from the same company.
