A few of the local fishing fleet where I live (south of Sydney Australia)
use lanolin as anti-foul on props and shafts. They heat up the metal and
then apply lanolin. They claim much better lasting performance than
anti-fouling which tends to wear off quite quickly. Haven't tried it yet
but may give it a go at next haul out.
